How it works
- 1Upload a photoA clear, front-facing photo of just you in good light. Adults 18+ only.
- 2Pick a style and generateYour photo is uploaded only when you tap the button and is deleted within 24 hours.
- 3See the new look on youYour first preview is free on this device; unlock the HD photo with credits if you like it.
A bald filter shows your own face with your head shaved smooth, so you can see your head shape, ears and brow line without hair. Upload a selfie, keep "Shaved bald" selected and the AI renders it on your photo while leaving your eyebrows and beard alone. Your first preview is free; the full HD photo costs 25 credits.
How does the bald filter work?
The bald filter edits your own photo so your head looks freshly shaved with a razor. It removes the hair on top and at the sides, draws in the scalp with natural light and shadow, and leaves your eyebrows, beard, face, clothes and background as they were.
Three steps:
- Upload a selfie: front-facing, good light, hair pulled away from the face if it is long.
- Keep "Shaved bald" selected (it is the default on this page) and tap Try it.
- Look at the preview: your first one on this device is free, in low resolution with a watermark. If you want to keep it, unlock the same image in HD for 25 credits.
Hats, hoodies and heavy fringes make it harder for the AI to guess where your scalp is, so a clear forehead gives the most believable result.
What would I look like bald?
Mostly it comes down to your head shape, your ears and your brow line, which is exactly what hair usually hides. A bald preview puts all three on show at once:
- Head shape: a smooth, even curve at the top and back is what makes a shaved head look intentional. Flat spots or ridges show more without hair.
- Ears: with nothing around them, ears look bigger than you are used to. That is normal for the first few days of looking at yourself bald.
- Brows and beard: strong brows and some facial hair give a bald head a frame. If your preview feels "empty", a beard often fixes it.
Give the preview a minute before deciding. Most people's first reaction to seeing themselves bald is surprise, not dislike.
Bald or buzz cut: which suits you?
If you are on the fence, compare both on the same photo. The style buttons above include a classic #2 buzz, a burr cut and a skin fade as well as fully bald, so you can see whether a little stubble on top looks better on you than smooth skin.
A shaved head tends to suit people with a well-rounded skull and a strong jaw or beard. A short buzz is the safer step when your scalp has uneven spots or you are not ready for the razor. The buzz cut filter page explains the clipper guard lengths if you want to tell your barber exactly what you saw.
Balding filter: going bald on purpose
If your hair is thinning or your hairline is moving back, a bald preview answers a practical question: would shaving it all off look better than holding on? For many people with a thinning crown or a receding hairline, a clean shave removes the contrast that makes thinning noticeable.
The filter shows a fully shaved head; it does not simulate gradual hair loss, and it cannot predict how your scalp will look after years of sun. For questions about hair loss itself, a dermatologist is the right person to ask.
Bald filter online, without an app
This bald filter runs in the browser on your phone or computer. There is nothing to install and no social media account to link, and you can use your camera or an existing photo.
Your photo is uploaded only when you tap Try it, is used to make your image, and is deleted along with the result within 24 hours. It is not added to a gallery and not used to train models. Save the image you like before you leave — it is not kept in your account.
What the free preview includes
Each device gets one free preview, shared between this page and the buzz cut filter: a 512-pixel image with a watermark, which is enough to judge the look. Unlocking the full-resolution version without a watermark costs 25 credits and gives you that same image, not a new attempt. After the free one, each new HD image costs 25 credits and needs a sign-in. If an image fails, you are not charged.
Does it work for women?
Yes. Choose "Woman" and the filter shaves the head while keeping earrings, makeup and everything else exactly as it is. Many women who are thinking about a full shave try the bald preview and a bleached buzz side by side; the bleached option is in the same style list.
Frequently asked questions
How can I see what I would look like bald?
Upload a front-facing selfie on this page and tap Try it — "Shaved bald" is already selected. The filter removes the hair on your head and draws a smooth scalp, keeping your eyebrows, beard and face the same. It takes about half a minute.
Is the bald filter free?
Your first preview on each device is free: a low-resolution image with a watermark (this page and the buzz cut filter share that one free try). The same image in HD without the watermark is 25 credits, and each new HD image after that is 25 credits.
Is there a bald filter online without Snapchat or an app?
Yes. This one works in any phone or desktop browser with an existing photo or your camera. There is nothing to download and no social account to connect.
Can I compare bald with a buzz cut?
Yes. The style list also has a #2 buzz, a burr cut, a crew cut, a skin fade and a bleached buzz, so you can try a second look on the same photo and see which suits your head shape.
Does the bald filter keep my beard?
Yes. It only removes the hair on your head; eyebrows, beard and stubble stay as they are in your photo.
Does it work for women?
Yes. Choose "Woman" and the filter shaves the head while keeping makeup, earrings and the rest of your look unchanged.
Will it still look like me?
It is designed to. The AI is told to change only the hair and keep your face, skin tone and identity the same. A clear, front-facing photo with your forehead visible gives the most faithful result.
Do you keep my photo or the generated images?
No. Your photo is uploaded only when you tap Generate, and both the photo and the generated images are deleted within 24 hours. They are never used for training and are not saved to your account, so tap Save to download the images you want to keep.
